The “Dream Weaver” musician passed away after receiving dementia and Parkinson’s disease diagnoses. David Pack, a co-founder of Ambrosia, posted a moving tribute to his deceased friend on Facebook.

Pack included a picture of the two laughing on stage while Gary appeared to be clapping his hands in time with the music. He revealed that he has admired Gary since joining the English rock group Spooky Tooth.

Stephen Bishop also honoured the celebrity. Bishop tweeted on Twitter, “It is with great sadness that I received the news of my dear friend Gary Wright’s passing.”

The two enormous songs Gary produced in the middle of the 1970s—”Dream Weaver” and “Love is Alive” may come to dominate memories of him, but Gary’s discography is far more extensive than that.

In the end, he created 12 separate albums starting in 1970, in addition to numerous compilations and collaborations with other musicians.

He once collaborated with none other than former Beatle George Harrison in one of his well-known projects. Gary played keyboards on George’s album “All Things Must Pass” and is credited with assisting George on other of his solo songs as well.

Gary collaborated with George on “Footprints,” so George returned the favor for one of Gary’s CDs. Gary has made significant contributions to the music industry as a whole. He is also credited with being one of the first well-known pop musicians to use the synthesizer, which has since become a standard instrument.
