Santiago “Daveeys” Ruiz was a valiant athlete with skill. Although he only recently joined KRU Esports, he made a significant impact on the team’s ascent to success. On September 2, the youthful athlete had just turned 23 years old. We are deeply saddened to share with you that he passed away. 

Fans from all around the world have expressed shock at his premature passing and there has been an outpouring of solidarity for his family and close friends.

There isn’t much information available concerning Valorant pro-Santiago “Daveeys” Ruiz’s passing, however, KRU Esports noted in a tweet that he passed away due to issues with his health.

He had decompensation which is a medical term for a disease in which the heart struggles to keep up with blood flow. The organization posted a tweet in Spanish, but when translated into English, it says:

“It is with deep sadness that we have to inform you that, after suffering a decompensation on Sunday, he passed away.”

Despite the fact that his side didn’t advance very far in the tournament, he made a significant contribution. KRU Esports expressed their sorrow in the tweet and pleaded for the community’s support during these tough times.

Following the organization’s announcement of his passing, his family has received sympathy and prayers from all across the world. One user tweeted, “RIP to the hardest player i’ve ever played in server.”
