Why is Anna Hall So Popular?
Anna Hall, an American athlete who specializes in combined events was born on March 23, 2001. She earned the bronze medal at the 2022 World Championships and the silver medal in the heptathlon at the 2023 World Championships. Hall holds the pentathlon indoor record for North America.
Her top results in the heptathlon and pentathlon rank her sixth and fourth, respectively on the world all-time rankings. She is the only woman to break 6700 points in the heptathlon and to cross the 400-meter hurdles in under 55 seconds.
In the 400 meters, Hall has a personal best time of 50.82 seconds. She has won two NCAA Division I championships while playing for the University of Florida and is a three-time U.S. national champion. Hall attended Arapahoe High School for her freshman and sophomore years before transferring to Valor Christian.
Between 2017 and 2018, she won three New Balance Nationals pentathlon titles and in 2018, she won the high jump title. She established her first heptathlon and pentathlon national high school records in 2018. The 17-year-old made her international debut at the World Under-20 Championships in Tampere, Finland, that year.
Competing against athletes who were up to two years older than her, she placed ninth in the heptathlon. She improved both of her national high school records the next year by scoring 4302 and 5847 points, respectively, at the USATF Indoor Championships (finishing third in the senior class although still 17 years old) and Pan American U20 Championships (taking first position).
