In 2014, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin popularized the term “consciously uncoupling,” which was developed by psychologist Katherine Woodward Thomas. According to Woodward Thomas, it is “a proven process for lovingly completing a relationship that will leave you feeling whole, healed, and at peace.”
They initially connected in 1998. While Darius was in town with his band Hootie and the Blowfish, Beth was working for VH1 in New York. The “Wagon Wheel” singer told The Boot that she had rejected him at first but eventually agreed to go out with him. Darius was supposedly in his hotel room when Beth called and asked if he wanted to go watch a Broadway musical.
“I can’t put my finger on it. Everything about her was amazing,” Darius exclaimed to Country Now. On our first outing together, I told her that she would be my future wife.
The couple married the wedding on December 9, 2000, and had their first child, Daniella, the following year. After that, in 2005, they welcomed Jack, a son. Carolyn, the artist’s rumored daughter with ex-girlfriend Elizabeth Ann Phillips, was born in 1995.
Beth was instrumental in Darius’s decision to explore country music in the early 2000s, despite his already-established fame with Hootie and the Blowfish. For more updates join us on our Twitter account.
