In a horrific occurrence that happened in Columbus, a woman was fatally stabbed at her Berkeley Road home in the 1400 block of Berkeley Road. Chance Donohoe, who was detained by the authorities admitted to stabbing the woman.
Shannon Hiott Obituary: What Happened to Her?
Shannon Hiott, who was 29 years old was stabbed by Chance Donohoe. Chance is currently being prosecuted for this sad incident’s murder.
Following these incidents, Chance Donohoe made contact with the police from a Powell home before leaving. Columbus law enforcement officers arrived at the Berkeley Road location right away to respond to the issue.
They had to break down doors to get inside and they unfortunately found Shannon Hiott dead near 6:18 in the morning, Powell police caught Donohoe near Sawmill Parkway and Seldom Seen Road.

The motive behind Donohoe’s alleged actions remains unclear at this time. However, the tragedy adds to a sombre figure in Columbus, where there have been 17 fatalities linked to domestic violence so far this year. This number is noticeably greater than the total of seven similar deaths that were reported throughout the previous year.
Shannon was a core part of the RE: CHARGE team & The Summit Music Hall. She has contributed in so many ways to the event we have grown here and is someone who lived and breathed the Columbus music scene.
People are sharing their tributes towards her on social media. Lana Hiott wrote, “Some of you were blessed to know my amazingly kind, beautiful, cat-loving, festival-going, wicked talented and creative sister, Shannon.”
One user said, “It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of one of our team members, Shannon Hiott.”
David Squid posted, “With heavy hearts we present a memorial show for Columbus’s beloved Shannon Hiott.”
Rob Chafin said, “Completely devastated by the tragic loss of Shannon Hiott.”
