Goose Creek Car Accident

The National Weather Service (NWS) has confirmed that Goose Creek saw a small, fleeting tornado on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 afternoon. It took place in front of Infinger Furniture at Camelot Drive just before 12:30 p.m.

One user on Facebook shared the video of incident which is provided below:

A car flipped on US 52 during a mild tornado, resulting in receiving minor injuries. According to representatives of the Goose Creek Police Department, a Honda Accord was moving along US 52 when a gust of wind lifted it and caused it to flip onto another automobile.

There were two people inside the automobile who had minor wounds. They were brought to a nearby hospital for medical attention. No other damages were reported. A car crashes with another in a video posted to TikTok showing the incident taking place.

The video was utilized to verify the tornado’s veracity. A Stokes Kia employee who works close by gave a description of what it was like as the storm passed through. John Schinkle said:

“Jason and I were sitting right here- we were looking out the window. It was raining pretty hard, the top of the tree line out there you could actually see the movement of the trees bending and spiraling … went around the building and went across 52 and picked up a car over there and spun it around and dropped it almost on another car.”

He continued:

“All these windows, all these doors opened. The pressure inside the building actually came out. We tried to keep the door shut; Jason was trying to pull the door shut, and he couldn’t do it. And he’s a big guy.”
