Due to the novel’s popularity and manga, audiences eagerly anticipate Boruto’s launch of the Sasuke Retsuden Arc. The plot features a number of characters, including the Sixth Hokage Kakashi Hatake, who are all involved in the search for Naruto’s treatment.
Since the first arc, when he took over as Team 7’s head sensei, the character has played a pivotal role in the Naruto series. Considering that Naruto is now the father of a 12-year-old son, Boruto, his sensei must have aged quite a bit since the first season, which leaves fans wondering how old he is.
How Old is Kakashi in Boruto?
In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Kakashi Hatake is seen to be between 46 and 47 years old. His real age is never stated, but we may make an educated guess based on what we learn about him throughout the anime. Kakashi Hatake, a prodigy who joined the Anbu at the tender age of 13, climbed rapidly through the ranks. A year later, while doing his duties as an Anbu, the Nine-Tailed Beast Kurama invaded the Hidden Leaf Village.

Obito Uchiha provoked the attack in an attempt to gain control of the Nine-Tailed Beast while Kushina Uzumaki was giving birth to Naruto. From this, we may calculate that Naruto is 14 years older than Kakashi. Naruto became a father at the young age of 20 when his son Boruto was born a year after his marriage to Hinata. The events of Boruto take place 12 years later, when the eponymous character is a young genin of the same age.

In Naruto How Old is Kakashi?
Kakashi is 14 years older than Naruto, so he would have been 26 at the start of the series if we were to believe the databook. Naruto’s education takes up the bulk of the remaining episodes. Naruto spent three years under Jiraiya’s tutelage. That means Kakashi was either 29 or 30 years old, an increase of three years from his age at the start of the series.
At What Age Kakashi Hatake Became the Sixth Hokage?
Fans will recall that he was elected a year before Kakashi Hatake became the Sixth Hokage. Tsunade, the fifth Hokage, lapsed into a coma after using up all of her chakra defending the people of Hidden Leaf Village from the Pain’s Assault Arc.
Danzo Shimura assumed the role of Sixth Hokage at this time. Shikaku Nara had recommended Kakashi to become the Sixth Hokage, but after his death at the hands of Sasuke, he was unanimously chosen by the village as the next leader.

But by that time, Tsunade had healed and resumed her role as Hokage. Since Naruto was just 16 then, Kakashi Hatake would have been close to 30. Kakashi succeeded Tsunade as Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village a year after the Fourth Shinobi World War ended. Kakashi could have been between 31 and 32 years old at the time.
