Fans of Frank Herbert’s sand-swept universe have been itching for another cinematic voyage into the Dune universe ever since the announcement of the “Dune 2” release date. Since the first film’s release, fans have been wondering what will happen next. Dune 2 Release Date
It’s possible that Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi epic “Dune” will have a sequel that doesn’t arrive until 2024, thanks to a sandworm.

Warner Bros. Film Group is considering moving the Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya tentpole from its current schedule on November 3 to next year. According to an industry insider, since the picture is a collaborative effort with Legendary Entertainment, a new release date requires consensus from both sides.
The source said that WB has not yet approached Legendary about a potential move. According to another Warner Bros. insider, production is proceeding as planned, and there have been no formal conversations, albeit the duration of the union battles is utterly unpredictable. Both Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment’s public relations departments declined to comment.
Sources say that Warner Bros. is also considering fresh release windows for DC Studios’ “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” as well as the highly anticipated feature musical “The Color Purple,” which counts Oprah Winfrey as a producer. Striking unions SAG-AFTRA and the Writers Guild of America are at war with Hollywood producers over new contracts, which might force rescheduling events.

Although the presence of stars like Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Javier Bardem, and Josh Brolin in a film like “Dune 2” would be invaluable, union rules prevent them from promoting the film because it was produced by a studio that is now on strike.

Warner Bros. is probably not the only studio looking at the upcoming schedule. The sequel to “Dune” opens in the same theatre row as “The Marvels” from Disney on November 10 and “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” from Lionsgate on November 17. Sony’s Columbia Pictures label will release Ridley Scott and Joaquin Phoenix’s “Napoleon” (from Apple Studios) to theatres on November 22.
