How did Barrymore’s Alleged Stalker Arrest?
After being held near Drew Barrymore’s house in Southampton, Long Island on Thursday, August 24, 2023 the man who stormed the stage at a panel event featuring the actress in New York City on Monday, August 21, 2023 was arrested.
Southampton Police Chief James Kiernan has verified Chad Busto’s arrest and promised to provide more information soon.

Police in Southampton apprehended Busto after hearing reports of him knocking on doors in the neighbourhood, ostensibly looking for directions to Drew Barrymore’s house. The arrest of Busto will be processed at the Southampton Town Police Department.

What Happened With the Barrymore During Discussion at the 92nd Street Y?
During a discussion at the 92nd Street Y, Drew Barrymore was hustled offstage after a brief interaction with an accused stalker. A man in the audience interrupted their talk at the Upper East Side event venue just a few minutes into it by shouting Barrymore’s name and quickly moving down the aisle toward the stage.
Barrymore looked at the crowd when she heard her name and said, “Oh my god, yes? Hi!” He responded:
“You know who I am. I need to see you at some point while you’re in New York.”
A member of the security team removed the man from the arena and a video shows security staff stopping Busto at the stage while Rapp puts her arm around Barrymore and walks her off the stage.
