Ben Kredich was a lively soul who brought his town many smiles. He exuded an infectious passion at his peak that had a lasting impression. Ben’s sense of self was particularly entwined with his performance on stage, highlighting his love of self-expression. We are deeply saddened to share it with you that he passed away on August 21, 2023.
How did Ben Kredich Die?
Ben Kredich lost his life in a terrible incident close to the University of Tennessee campus. The incident happened just after 4 o’clock on Aug 21. According to the police department, It is believed that a car that was initially travelling east on Kingston Pike ran off the road and struck him.
The guy was struck by Walker’s minivan and thrown roughly 20 yards. The minivan then struck a pole before stopping outside Second Presbyterian Church. At the scene, Kredich was pronounced deceased. Heroin and other substances were found there in Shannon’s car ( Shannon is the driver of the car).
Police claim in a post that Shannon Blake Walker has been charged with vehicular homicide, ran off the road and struck Kredich.
Ben Kredich was the adored son of Matt Kredich, the director of swimming and diving at the University of Tennessee. He was also a committed member of the UT FUTURE program which gave individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities the tools they needed to live independent lives.
The UT community, devastated by the death, sent its sympathies and support to the Kredich family remembering Ben as a kind soul who significantly impacted many people’s lives.
The tragedy serves as a reminder of the impermanence of life and the effects of random accidents. The community is still accepting his disappearance after this tragic occurrence. The aftermath of Kredich’s death serves as a depressing reminder of the frailty of life and the unpredictability of human existence.
His memory serves as a moving prompt to treasure each moment and cling to the memories that now serve as evidence of the life he lived. Tyler Fenwick head coach of UVA Associate shared his condolences towards his family and said, “My heart is in a million pieces for the Kredich family and the devastating news from Knoxville.”
Betsy Sabatini Coyne said, “Ben Kredich was so musically talented, was one of the best listeners I knew and had the best memory.”
Becky Duncan Massey wrote, “I was heartbroken to hear of Ben Kredich’s untimely and senseless death yesterday.”
