Pat Sajak is 5 foot 6 inches tall. He was born on 26 Oct 1946, raised in Chicago, Illinois and is now 77 years old. Sajak completed his high school education at Farragut High School in 1964 before enrolling at Columbia College Chicago and working as a front desk agent at the Palmer House hotel.

During the Vietnam War, Sajak worked as a disc jockey for the American Forces Vietnam Network while serving in the U.S. Army. He shared Adrian Cronauer’s role as host of the Dawn Buster radio show and continued Cronauer’s 14-month practice of opening with “Good Morning Vietnam!”

Sajak started his broadcasting career at a neighbourhood radio station and later worked as a disc jockey for the American Forces Vietnam Network during the Vietnam War. Sajak is most recognized for his role as the Wheel of Fortune host on American television, a post he has held since 1981.

He has been nominated 19 times for the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game Show Host for his work on Wheel and won the award thrice. He surpassed the previous record holder Bob Barker to receive the Guinness World Records recognition in 2019 for having the longest career as a game show host for the same show.

Sajak has been in a number of movies, TV episodes and game shows in addition to his work on game shows, including Airplane II: The Sequel, Days of Our Lives and Rugrats. In addition, he had a late-night chat show on CBS from 1989 to 1990.

He also frequently hosted guest appearances on Live with Regis, Kelly and Larry King Live on CNN. Sajak is also a writer for the National Review Online and Ricochet.co and serves as an external director of the conservative publishing business Eagle Publishing.

Additionally, he is the creator of a number of puzzle games including “Lucky Letters” which was created in association with puzzle creator David L. Hoyt. Sajak has been married twice; he has two children with Lesly Brown Sajak, who has been married since 1989.

Sajak co-hosts Prime Time Celebrity Wheel of Fortune on ABC with Vanna White as of 2021, when he is also listed as a Consulting Producer for Wheel of Fortune.
