Amazon Studios has announced that they would adapt Mickey Bolitar’s debut novel, Shelter, into a television series beginning in 2022. Disney stars Constance Zimmer, Adrian Greensmith, Abby Corrigan, and Sage Linder join Jaden Michael as Mickey in the next film. Shelter, the first book of a series by Harlan Coben, will be published on August 18, 2023.
Coben signed a five-year, multimillion-dollar contract with the American media giant Netflix in August 2018. As part of the agreement, Coben will serve as an executive producer on all of the Netflix original shows and films based on his 14 novels.
The deal’s first movie was January 2020’s The Stranger, adapted from his novel of the same name. The Myron Bolitar series is now also accessible for adaptation after Netflix announced in October 2022 that they had extended the deal for another four years. The Fool Me Once Netflix adaptation was announced on February 20, 2023.
