Game of Thrones actor “Darren Kent” passed away at 39. His talent agency “Carey Dodd Associates” posted a statement on Twitter on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 to confirm his passing.

The statement read, “It is with deep sadness we have to tell you that our dear friend and client Darren Kent passed away peacefully, Our thoughts and love are with his family in this difficult time. RIP my friend.”

It is expected that he passed away after dealing with persistent health issues. Kent had several ongoing medical conditions such as osteoporosis, arthritis and a unique skin condition. People are sharing tributes towards him on social media. Lee Mead said, “Darren was an amazing human being and so special.”

Jane Gull said by pouring a tribute, “I will miss you so much. RIP darling Darren Kent xxxx.”

Micky Chapman wrote, “I’m gutted that I’ve just learnt that Darren harper AKA (DARREN KENT) has passed away.”

The actor, born in Essex, England is most known for his role as a goatherder from Slavers Bay in an episode of the popular HBO drama series Game of Thrones. He also appeared in the long-running British TV program EastEnders and the 2012 movie Snow White and the Huntsman.

His other credits include Marshal’s Law, Community, Bloody Cuts, Shameless and the BBC production of Les Misérables. His breakthrough performance came in the 2008 horror film Mirrors. In the most recent movie he appeared in, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, he played a reanimated corpse.

Kent’s performance in the short Sunny Boy earned him an award for outstanding actor at the 2012 Van D’or Independent Film Awards. In addition, he produced and directed several other short films such as the January Award-winning You Know Me from 2021 and the 2019 shorts Rogue Trader.
