Cardi B Won’t Face Charges Following Mic-Throwing Incident

Cardi B will not be charged with anything after she threw a microphone into the crowd during a show in Las Vegas last weekend.

“After a thorough review of this case and with the consultation from the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence,” a spokesperson for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department told Fox News Digital on Wednesday. “No charges will be filed in relation to this case.” 

A video shows that the “WAP” singer threw her microphone at a fan who seemed to be throwing a cup at her. She was charged with abuse because of this. It is said that the mic hit one woman and then bounced off of her and hit another.

According to Insider, the fan who called the cops said she was hit in the right shoulder and that she didn’t throw the drink. The 30-year-old had asked fans at Drai’s Beachclub to splash her with water during the show to cool her down, but she didn’t expect someone to throw a cup at her.

Cardi B is one of a number of artists who have recently been hit by things while on stage. Harry Styles, Kelsea Ballerini, and Ariana Grande are among the others. In June, a fan reportedly threw an iPhone at Bebe Rexha, which sent her to the hospital.

When she went back on stage for a show in Philadelphia, she asked the crowd, “Please don’t point your phones at me tonight. I beg you.” Kelly Clarkson told her crowd during the first weekend of her Las Vegas residency at the end of last month, “Don’t throw anything at me, no matter what you do. If you’re going to throw trash, do it with diamonds.”
