How did Lana Rae Meisner Die?
After a disagreement with her husband, Lana Rae Meisner accidentally shot and killed herself, forcing the musician to withdraw from the spotlight seven years ago. Meisner’s wife was shot in the head and killed on March 6, 2016, when a pair of spurs accidentally set off the revolver.

They added a statement:
“When officers arrived they found Mrs. Meisner suffering from a single gunshot wound.”
A thorough investigation concluded that Lana accidentally killed herself.
“After a thorough investigation by Valley Bureau detective personnel and the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office, it was determined that Mrs. Meisner’s death was accidental,” the report read.
“Mrs. Meisner was moving a rifle that was stored inside a case in a closet. As she lifted the rifle in the case, another item within the case shifted and hit the trigger of the rifle causing it to fire and fatally injure Mrs. Meisner.”
Additionally, it was said that Mr. Meisner was cooperative throughout the investigation.
Two hours prior to this incident, police had already been to their house in response to “a radio call of a woman asking for police assistance for a possibly intoxicated male suspect.” The police arrived, took a domestic violence report, and then drove away.
