Since its premiere in 2015, Alone on the History Channel has put survivalists through their paces, and the competition has become no easier for the competitors. Individuals are left off in the bush and must fend for themselves with few supplies for as long as feasible.
As seen in Season 9, contestants can be eliminated for many reasons, including failing a medical check-in and tapping out. Benji (actual name: Benjamin James Hill) is the most recent competitor to withdraw from Alone due to health concerns. Why, therefore, does he have to leave Labrador, Canada if he’s not feeling well? What Illness Does Benji Have In Alone Season 9?
Season 9 of Alone, a television reality show about surviving in the wilderness, features a new and unique challenge for the players. For the first time in the competition series, the survivalists not only have to hunt for their food, but they also face the unique danger of being hunted by the polar bears of Labrador.
Benji is eliminated from the TV competition, but it isn’t because of the polar bears. Uncertainty persists as to whether a beaver or grouse was responsible for his demise.
Benji begins working on a fleshing beam, a tool used to extract fat and meat from the skin of an animal, on day 24 after spending some time honing and cleaning his equipment. He aims to render the fat to preserve the meat and uses the beam to remove as much of it as possible from the beaver hide.
Benji decides to kill a grouse despite having plenty of beaver flesh and fat already. He missed the bird twice before finally shooting it with his bow. Benji tells the camera he feels incredibly fortunate to have been able to shoot down so many different species with his bow.

But Benji wakes up that night at 2 o’clock and throws up. His stomach continues to cramp all night, and he shows the camera every agonizing detail. It’s already 6 a.m., and Benji hasn’t slept at all. He’s exhausted and weak. The survivalist now knows that his or her time on the show is up. Despite his regret, he thanks Alone for the opportunity to grow as a person and for the chance to witness the Labrador landscape change with the seasons.
