Where Is Spencer Herron Now?
In 2019, Spencer Wayne Herron pleaded guilty to all six of his victim’s s*xual assault counts. The age of consent in Georgia is 16, and his roughly 60 extramarital encounters from 2012 onward were allegedly manipulative but not compelled.
Therefore, he was never charged with statutory rape despite these victims being minors. He was sentenced to six years in prison, five of which were in confinement, and 15 years of probation, during which he must not contact his victims or minors. Spencer, a registered s*x offender, is on probation in Gwinnett County after being released early from a state prison in 2022.
Sharing her story helped his victim “help make sure other girls are safe when they go to school.” “I hope this shows other victims and their families that they can stand up for themselves,” she said.
