Who is Halle Bailey’s Boyfriend?
DDG is the boyfriend of Halle Bailey. The two initially fueled romance speculations when they were seen together at Usher’s Las Vegas residency in January 2022. DDG later confirmed their relationship when he shared a sweet birthday message to Halle in March 2022.
The couple has since appeared together at a few events, including the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty, when they were seen beaming on the red carpet.
The two have praised one another in addition to standing by one another at open events. Halle discussed how she and DDG originally met and stated that she had been a fan of the rapper and YouTuber for years prior to him slipping into her DMs.
Halle told:
“I grew up being on YouTube and would always see the young Black creators and was constantly inspired by them. He was one of them, I completely forgot about him. But then I saw that he was dropping music and I really gravitated toward this one song. Coincidentally he messaged me — and the rest is history.”
The two have demonstrated their love on the small screen in addition to the red carpet. In August 2022, Halle appeared in DDG’s seductive music video If I Want You in which they were shown making out. DDG gush as he talked about his girlfriend’s portrayal of Ariel in “The Little Mermaid”. He said:
“I’m very proud of her. And I’m just happy to see it, I feel like sometimes I’m even more excited than anybody else. Just seeing it and seeing everything that she dreamed of coming to life, it’s really dope.”
DDG said “I’ve never been with nobody that’s, like, really motivated me like she does” in an interview and you watch it in a video provided below:

What did DDG Sing About Her Girlfriend in His New Song?
In a new song, Halle Bailey’s lover DDG sings about falling in love with a “famous girl” and how “insecure” he feels when she kisses other men while acting in movies. DDG apparently disapproves of the fact that kissing other guys onscreen is a part of Halle Bailey’s universe.
On July 14, “I’m Geekin” released his latest song, “Famous” whose lyrics appeared to criticize his fiancée for playing Ariel in The Little Mermaid.
He sings:
“Filmin’ a movie now you kissing dudes / You know I love you a lot / I don’t give a f–k if that s–t for promo / I don’t wanna see this s–t no more, Why is y’all holdin’ hands in the photo? / You know I’m insecure, that’s a no-no.”
