NBA legend Charles Barkley played basketball for a long time and is now an expert at losing weight. The 60-year-old Barkley shared his weight-loss strategy while appearing on a show and also shared secrets about how he lost 352 to 290 pounds.
What did Charles Barkley Say About His Weight Loss?
The 60-year-old NBA star made an appearance on the Pat McAfee show and discussed his routine there. In regard to the prescription drug Mounjaro, he said, “I’m working out. I’m taking my shot once a week.”
He admitted to using Mounjaro which helped him lose weight. In an episode of “The Dan Patrick Show” on May 26, Barkley indicated that he was taking Mount Mounjaro. You can watch his interview video provided below:
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration states that Mounjaro is taken in combination with diet and exercise to help adults with Type 2 diabetes control their blood sugar levels.
Barkley, who ranks among the top 20 all-time NBA rebounders revealed that he has lost 62 pounds. He said:
“I started at 352 pounds and I’m down to 290. I’m starting to feel like a human being.”
He also said that he had shed a remarkable 62 pounds after his physician urged him to get healthier. Before disclosing his recent change, Barkley was praised on his physique during the NHL on TNT pregame show prior to Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Panthers and Golden Knights.
He said:
“My doctor told me I was fat, So I’m down 62 pounds. She said to me there’s no fat old people, only fat young people… if you don’t get this stuff together you’re not gonna be around.”
