The ABC police procedural program has already aired for five full seasons. When the crime-themed TV show ends, what will become of The Rookie?
Nathan Fillion plays John Nolan, a guy who moves from a small town to Los Angeles and becomes a police rookie despite his advanced age, in the film The Rookie. This guy really impresses me. Season 5 ups the ante in terms of both the dangers and stakes of the crew’s work, which has already been fraught throughout the previous 99 episodes of the thriller series.
Since the end of Season 5 in May of 2023, there have been numerous questions left unanswered by the show’s fans. We’ll go into some of those in a minute. Rookie Season 6 Release Date
Season 6 of The Rookie was officially announced on Instagram on April 18, 2023. In 2024, we might expect to see John and his mates again. There is currently no set date for its release. As we gain more information, we will revise our approach accordingly.
With the exception of season 3, which was delayed because of COVID, we may presume that every season since 2019 has been issued in September or October. Season 5 just finished, therefore we’re assuming season 6 will come out later this year. However, the 2023 Writers’ Strike prevents that from happening.
ABC has also confirmed that it will not air any scripted programs until the following year. The release of The Rookie Season 6 has been pushed back to “at a later date.” The same holds true for any news related to a prospective fourth season of The Rookie: Feds. As a result of these factors, season 6 of The Rookie won’t premiere until 2024.

The Rookie Season 6: What Will it Be About?
Season 6 of The Rookie has not yet been confirmed, but we can have a good idea of what to expect based on the events of the previous season. Here come the spoilers.
The fifth season was full of high-stakes situations for John Nolan and his team. Potentially important character deaths, a new antagonist, developing romances, and a possible alliance between criminal masterminds all build to season six. Let’s get to the very best first.
Aaron Thorsen’s whereabouts are currently unknown, as noted in the previous cast list. Aaron was in severe condition at the hospital after he was wounded in the back while out with Celina. By the end of the episode, things did not seem good, with nurses and physicians rushing into his room as alarms sounded from the machine. Whether or not he made it through Season 6 is a question that must be answered.
