The founder of Hoffman Media, Phyllis Hoffman reportedly passed away suddenly. The most recent issue of Classic Sewing Magazine Group shared news about her passing.
Her experience is proof of the value of following one’s passion and realizing an idea. Even if the cause of her demise is yet unknown, Phyllis will be remembered for her contributions and her sense of independence. Her influence on the publishing industry and the creative community will endure.
Phyllis began her career at church. Phyllis shared her path and passion in a video provided below by detailing how her career began as a pianist and organist in her church.
She took time off from her job in accounting to care for her twins. With the help of her loved ones, Phyllis founded the publication Just CrossStitch with her sister Janice, veteran journalist Barbara and friend Juanita.
They successfully created their business by navigating the artistic stitching community. Hoffman Media was founded as a result of Phyllis Hoffman DePiano’s vision and commitment to her art having a significant impact on the publishing sector.
