Here’s all we know about the upcoming second season of the Netflix golf documentary Full Swing Season 2. Full Swing is one of Netflix’s most popular shows. The streaming service described it as “an immersive documentary that follows a diverse group of professional golfers – on and off the course during a relentless season of competition.”
Show participants included Rory Mcllroy, Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Ian Poulter, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Colin Morikawa, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Scottie Scheffler.
With the contentious LIV Golf breakaway tour serving as a backdrop to the eight-part series, there was no shortage of tension. Season 2 promises to bring even more intense drama.
Is Season 2 of Full Swing in the Works?
On Tudum, a website owned by Netflix, the second season of Full Swing was launched on June 6, 2023, with the question, “Ready for another round?”
Following this, the site explains how Season 1 and the LIV issue will affect Season 2:
“Many of the best professional golfers in the world are followed by Full Swing at home and at the four Majors. The series not only provides a close look at some of golf’s best names, but it also analyzes a major turning point in the game’s history—the launch of the Saudi Arabia-funded LIV Golf Tour.”
This caused some discord among the players in the first season. There will undoubtedly be some difficulties and interesting dynamics in the sport going forward, but on June 6 it was reported that the PGA and LIV had chosen to unify the two tours.
