Ms. Evans passed away at the age of 66. Former manager Don Carroll told that Evans passed away on Sunday due to cancer. Her current manager Nick Leicht said I’ve been working with Andrea for the past 7 years. She was a phenomenal performer and a pleasure to collaborate with.
Evans’ breakout roles as troubled teen Tina Lord on One Life to Live and as Patty Williams on The Young and the Restless made her a household name. In 1988, for her role as Tina, she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for outstanding ingenue in a drama series.
“Andrea was a kind woman, fun to work with, and such a pro,” Archer wrote on Facebook. “I feel so fortunate that I was able to play with her on OLTL and The Bay the Series.”
“People often think she must be very like the characters she played on television,” Carroll remarked of the actress. In reality, her greatest days were spent with no makeup, her hair in pigtails, and a ballcap on her head while visiting Disneyland with her daughter Kylie.
Former One Life to Live EP and current General Hospital EP Frank Valentini tweeted his condolences, saying, I am so sorry to learn of Andrea Evans’ loss. When I first started working at OLTL, Andrea was already a tremendous star.

Evans was “wildly responsible” for showing her Passions co-star, Eric Martsolf, “that working in Daytime doesn’t have to feel like work at all,” as Martsolf wrote about Evans in a Facebook post on Monday.
The message board entry started with, “We lost Andrea Evans.” I’ll never forget the way her eyes shone every time she smiled. Thank you for everything you did, and may you rest in peace, Andrea. Evans received a 2015 Daytime Emmy Nomination for best performance in a new Approaches drama series for her role as Vivian Price in the web series DeVanity.
