Jeff Bridges showed why he is a well-known and respected actor in FX’s thriller series The Old Man, a part he will play again in The Old Man season 2 when the show comes back. The first season of The Old Man got a lot of praise, and its ending left a lot of questions unanswered.
In The Old Man, which also stars John Lithgow, Jeff Bridges plays an ex-CIA agent named Dan Chase who is pulled out of retirement when an old enemy comes back. The game of cat-and-mouse that follows brings in a lot of other people, like Lithgow’s FBI Assistant Director Harold Harper, who served with Dan in the service during the Soviet-Afghanistan War.
The Old Man Season 2 Release Date
Disney hasn’t said when season 2 of The Old Man will come out yet, but it may be in late 2023 or early 2024. The summer plan would make sense since the first season started showing in June 2020. Covid, which was revealed in July 2019, and the sad news that Jeff Bridges had lymphoma in October 2020 also made it hard to shoot the first season.

The Old Man Season 2 Confirmed
The first two parts of The Old Man came out on June 16, 2022. On June 27, right after the third episode, FX said the show would return for a second season.
Fans of The Old Man had a lot of questions after the end of the first season, so this makes sense. It also makes sense from a business point of view since The Old Man was the most-watched evening scripted show to debut on TV since 2020.

Bridges’ return to the Western thriller genre made it the most-watched FX series to debut on Hulu in its first weekend. Hulu and FX will likely get the same number of viewers for season 2 of The Old Man.
The Old Man Season 2 Cast
Even though no prominent new cast members have been released, most of the stars from the first season will be back for season 2. Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow will be back since the last shot of the season shows the two old partners getting back together in a car.
The Old Man is one of Alia Shawkat’s best parts, but the actress isn’t done with her character, Angela Adams. Now, viewers will discover what happened to her after she was taken. Agent Raymond Waters, played by E.J. Bonilla, died in the first season so he won’t be back. However, the other characters will still have a better ending.
