The Young and the Restless has soap fans on edge concerning Phyllis’ storyline. She fought with Diane at Nikki and Victor Newman’s bicentennial party, which caused her to pass out in front of everyone’s shocked eyes. Phyllis was given medical care at the accident scene and then taken to an ambulance where doctors could check on her.
But in the episode that aired on Monday, April 3, it was shown that she never made it to the hospital. There was a crash in the ambulance. Chance was told by the EMT who was still alive that the car had exploded after the collision, locking Phyllis and the driver inside.
Before the accident, she had come to and was trying to tell someone that she thought she had been poisoned. On the show, Phyllis is believed to be dead right now. What does this mean for the actress who plays the part, Michelle Stafford? What do we know?
Is Phyllis Leaving Young And The Restless
So far as we know, The Young and the Restless fans don’t have to worry about a significant group departure, at least not with Stafford. This plan is Phyllis’s way of getting back at Diane. This doesn’t necessarily mean that she’s making up her death, though.
It just means that her plan has gone away in an unexpected way. After all, Phyllis’s relationship with her daughter Summer will fall apart in ways she may not be ready to handle if she has made Summer think she’s dead. No one knows how Phyllis will return from this, but as Hidden Remote has said, this could lead to a plot that lets James Hyde leave as Jeremy Stark. The soap opera will now deal with what happens after Phyllis’s “death.”

Does Phyllis Die On Young And The Restless?
Certainly not. Phyllis is skilled at playing the game of plotting, and this scheme was devised to guarantee Diane’s expulsion from the city. What better way to eject her from Genoa City than with charges of attempted murder? Nonetheless, if the ambulance crash was part of her plan, she must explain to her children why they were subjected to the trauma of being told their mother had perished while trapped in a burning emergency vehicle.
