Joseph “Jo Mersa” Marley, the son of singer Stephen Marley and grandson of reggae legend Bob Marley, was found unresponsive in a car on December 26. He was 31 years old.
Rolling Stone got papers from the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office on Tuesday that say Marley dἰed of “acute asthma exacerbation” after getting a rhinovirus or enterovirus infection.

The magazine says that Marley had asthma, coughing, and pneumonia in the past. At the time of his deἀth, he was not taking his asthma medicine.The report also said he had smoked in the past and that he had “enlarged glottic tonsils” and black spots on his lungs.
