American comedian, YouTuber, actress, singer, and writer Colleen Mae Ballinger was born on November 21, 1986. She became famous for playing the Internet persona Miranda Sings and publishing videos of the character on YouTube, touring theaters around the world with her stand-up comedy act, and starring in a Netflix original series called Haters Back Off (2016–2017).
Ballinger conceived of the delightfully inept, pompous and eccentric character to poke fun at the countless YouTube videos in which aspirational performers sing terribly and seem oblivious to their own lack of skill.
Colleen Ballinger’s Path from Home Education to Fame
Ballinger is a native Californian; her parents, Tim (a sales manager) and Gwen (a homemaker) reared her there. Ballinger completed middle school at home, high school at San Marcos, and college at Azusa Pacific University, where she studied voice performance and graduated in 2008. She also has a younger sister, Rachel, and two older brothers, Christopher and Trent.
Colleen Ballinger and Erik Stocklin Marriage
In 2010, Ballinger relocated to New York City in pursuit of performance opportunities. By 2012, however, she had learned that in order to grow her YouTube channel to its full potential, she needed to work with the Los Angeles-based YouTuber community.
Ballinger and Joshua Evans tied the knot in the Golden State in July 2015. Ballinger and Evans told in September 2016 that they were getting a divorce.
In 2016, Ballinger cast actor Erik Stocklin as Miranda’s love interest Patrick in the film Haters Back Off, and that’s how she first met him. The pair met in the early months of 2018 and wed that same year. There are three kids in the family.

In What Ways Has Colleen Ballinger Been Accυsed?
The first admirer to accυse Colleen of inappropriate behavior was 20-year-old Adam McIntyre. McIntyre told Rolling Stone that he first saw Colleen’s videos on YouTube when he was 10 years old, and that their friendship blossomed when he was 14 (when Colleen was 29).
After meeting her again in 2016, he told the magazine, their connection “became real,” and they began exchanging frequent tweets and DMs. In addition, he claimed that their talks ranged from humorous topics to more serious ones, such as Colleen’s protracted divorce from her ex-husband.
When it came down to it, I was just happy that she was talking to me and not anyone else, regardless of whether or not it was morally good or immoral. As a result, I got the distinct impression that ‘I know something that other people don’t know.’ That Miranda Sings is well-known among them is hardly a surprise. But I’ve met Colleen before.
“I was looking at it like this golden opportunity of trust,” he told.
“And I, in the moment, really didn’t care if it was morally right or wrong, because I was just grateful that she was talking to me and not anyone else. It made me feel like ‘I know something that other people don’t know.’ They know Miranda Sings. But I know Colleen.”
