Since Sonic’s original release on the Sega Genesis and Mega Drive in June 1991, 32 years have passed. The second free content update for Sonic Frontiers in 2023, named “Sonic’s Birthday Bash” was made public by Sonic Team on June 23, 2023 to celebrate the anniversary of the “Sonic the Hedgehog” franchise.
Director of Sonic Frontiers Morio Kishimoto has notified fans that the second DLC for Sonic’s most recent 3D adventure was released during the Sonic Central live on Friday, June 23, 2023. In November 2022, the upgrade was declared as part of the game’s 2023 plan.

Sonic’s Birthday Bash Introduces New Game Plus Mode
With the Sonic’s Birthday Bash update, Sonic gains new tasks, abilities and collectible Kocos. The update also promises the inclusion of New Game Plus and free birthday decorations for our protagonist.
You can start the journey over from square one with your entire skill tree and power-up level progression transferred over into the new file, as is typical with most New Game Plus modes.
This update has a lot of content, including a New Game+ mode. The trailer is provided below:
In addition to a photo mode, Cyber Space Challenges and Battle Rush mode, the first of three content upgrades introduced a jukebox with collecting songs from Sonic’s past in March. The third update, which promises to be the biggest will be released later this year and will feature new playable characters and a new story.
