Who is Sophie Flay?
The cook has gone through three marriages, but his sole child is named Sophie. Kate Connelly, Bobby’s second wife, is her mother.
On April 16th, 1996, Sophie entered the world. Bobby has a history of posting Instagram birthday wishes to her, but his most recent may be the loveliest one yet. He posted three pictures of her, two of her when she was about six or seven, and one of her when she was a teenager, and he tagged each one with the hashtag #worldchanger and called her his “favorite girl in the world.”

She made appearances on Rachel Ray in 2013 with her dad, Brunch at Bobby’s twice in 2016, and Beat Bobby Flay in 2015 and 2017. She and Sunny Anderson, a chef on the Food Network, served as judges on the most recent episode.

Is Sophie Flay a Chef?
Fans of Bobby Flay may already be familiar with his daughter Sophie, who appeared in a 2019 Food Network series called The Flay List alongside her famous father. The show, which seems to be the East Coast equivalent of Bobby and Sophie on the Coast, followed the duo as they explored eateries in the New York area.
Although she does not follow in her father’s culinary footsteps, Sophie has made guest appearances on his shows including Brunch at Bobby’s and Beat Bobby Flay. Instead of going into the food industry like her brother, Sophie decided to get a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Southern California in 2018.

The former Los Angeles community reporter is now employed by ABC7, where she covers local news and contributes to Localish, an ABC-owned network that highlights “extraordinary people, places, and passions across America.”
After her first year of college, Sophie interned at NBC News, where she worked on the Olympics coverage team. Between 2016 and 2018, she also did voiceover work for Spotify and interned at Warner Bros.
