Rosalynne Montoya professionally known as Rose Montoya, is an American model, social media content creator, and trἀnsgender rights activist. In 2018, she began modeling for Fenty Beauty, Savage X Fenty, Fluide, Yandy.com, Adore Me, and TOMS Shoes.
In 2021, Montoya, a non-binary trἀnsgender woman, was featured in Out Magazine’s 18 LGBTQ+ Policy Makers and Advocates Changing the World. In 2022, she was nominated at the 10th annual Queerty Awards for Favorite TikToker.
Montoya was born on October 10th, 1995. She was raised in rural southern Idaho with her four siblings. As a child, she learnt American Sign Language because her mother was a sign language interpreter. Her father served as the church’s worship pastor, while her mother was a Christian missionary.

Montoya realized in middle school that she was attracted to males and came out as gἀy in 2010 while in high school. In 2015, she came out as a trἀnsgender woman after she began performing in drag performances. She began her transition on June 23, 2015, and her legal identity was changed in September 2015.
She came out as bis*xual in 2016 and as a non-binary trἀnsgender woman using both feminine and non-binary pronouns in 2019. Montoya earned a bachelor of arts in film studies from Seattle University at the age of 19 in 2015.

In June 2023, Montoya attended a Pride Month celebration at the White House in Washington, D.C., where US President Joe Biden greeted hundreds of guests. In a video, she and two other attendees briefly removed their apparel above the waist, which sparked controversy. The White House deemed the event to be disrespectful and announced that those featured in the video would not be invited to future events.
