After a woman vanishes during a journey to Japan, her family in Chicago is desperate for answers. The family of a Chicago woman who disappeared while traveling in Japan expresses “one of the worst possible fears.”
Kandace Schipper, age 29, arrived in Tokyo on May 8 and “abruptly” ceased communicating with her family and acquaintances ten days ago.
She was traveling with Luis Torres, a 27-year-old male companion who has also been inaccessible. Nicole Willea, her sister, stated that the family notified the US consulate and submitted a missing person report in Chicago.
Ms. Willea wrote on Facebook –
“Our family is experiencing one of the worst fears possible…”
“She was communicating every day from Tokyo to family and friends but has not been reachable in 9 days.”
Do you know that the curiosity around a 911 call made by a family claiming to have seen “non-human” beings after something crashed in their backyard is boosted by Las Vegas police body cam footage showing a green flash across the sky? The call was made by the family after something crashed in their backyard:
Brother-in-law Adam Willea reported that the Tokyo Metropolitan Police refused to investigate the woman’s disappearance as a missing person case because she had not yet missed her flight home.
He explained to WGN9 that the family felt “helpless” not knowing what happened to her –
“Is she being held somewhere against her will? Is she hurt? There’s nothing we can even do because it’s in Toyko, Japan. We need feet on the ground over there.”
A credit card transaction alert led Ms. Schipper’s family to believe that her last known location was in Shibuya. According to her Linkedin profile, Ms. Schipper, a stylist and cosmetics artist, was born in Chicago and recently relocated to California.
