One game stood out among the announcements made at the 2023 Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour. After the Budokai Tenkaichi series had lain dormant for more than ten years, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 was finally confirmed to be a reality.
Due to their large rosters and captivating story modes, these arena combatants are among the most well-known games in the Dragon Ball fandom. There are both dream scenarios and recreations of canon events. Although it’s unclear what Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 will bring, the fanbase is anticipating it.
Unfortunately, the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 announcement barely went beyond that and the assurance that the Super Saiyan Blue forms would be present in the film. There is no additional information on Budokai Tenkaichi 4; speculations are the sole indication of when more material might surface.
Fans might learn more about this thrilling Dragon Ball game very soon as the summer gaming conference season gets underway, but there’s also a risk that they might have to wait longer than they’d want.
When to Expect News on Budokai Tenkaichi 4 Release Date?
According to their post, a Bandai Namco staffer visited the GameStop that Drillucidator, a Reddit user, worked at in March 2023. They claim the staffer informed them that Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 would be out in September.

Not knowing which September it was and having no reliable source makes the information speculative. While Budokai Tenkaichi 4 could release as early as the end of 2023, a launch in 2024 is a better guess, given the lack of further information.
Seeing Budokai Tenkaichi 4 this June is all but assured if it plans to release in 2023 or even early 2024. Although Bandai Namco has not yet announced its presentation, it has been known to participate in the 2023 Summer Game Fest, which begins with a Showcase on June 8.
There is a history behind shows getting their announcements out immediately before E3 or SGF, so Bandai Namco still has time to slip in a mid-June presentation. Jump Force and other Namco titles have already appeared at Microsoft E3 conferences, so a showing on June 11 at the Xbox Titles Showcase is possible.
News On Budokai Tenkaichi 4 Could Be A Way Away
That is predicated on the overly optimistic notion that Budokai Tenkaichi 4 would release shortly, which is probably untrue. It doesn’t feel near without a feature list, developer, or even a tiny portion of Budokai Tenkaichi 4’s probably enormous cast.
There are still some planned events, though, that might provide additional information on the game. It is impossible to rule out June’s possibilities, but if they are empty, Gamescom in August and Tokyo Game Show in September are the following two prime suspects.
Although smaller than Summer Game Fest, they are still significant industry showcases, and because of their location, TGS frequently includes more licensed Japanese titles. The next Game Awards program is a beautiful venue for a Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 trailer, ending the 2023 scenarios.
Bandai Namco may reserve the game for a potential Jump Festa 2024 panel if it is playable by then but has not yet had most of its content finished. Additionally, the devs would get to talk about Budokai Tenkaichi 4 and possibly even show kiosks and early match videos.
