The Pokémon Card Game’s OG 151 Reminds Us of its Timeless Appeal

Pokémon 151 Release Date

Pokémon 151 Release Date

The highly anticipated 151st set of Pokémon trading cards is set to be released by The Pokémon Company in Japan on June 16. What’s got everyone so worked up? That’s because, for the first time in nearly two decades, all 151 of the original Pokémon from Generation 1 will be available at once. In addition, it’s going to have some extremely beautiful collecting cards.

That keeping score at home knows full well why the OG 151 haven’t been able to get together since the turn of the millennium.

Because a certain mad wizard named Uri Geller, back in his wild litigation days, threatened to sue Pikachu itself into space since the cartoon animal was loosely based on his favorite party trick of bending spoons with the power of his hands, the legend of Pikachu has grown into a legend.

Whether it was because Geller changed his mind (the case never got to court) or Nintendo decided to reunite them because they wanted to, the original cast is once again functioning as a unit.

Pokémon 151

The last few months have seen information about the set trickle out, and at this point, we have a very good sense of what to expect. It’s shaping up to be the best commemoration of Pokémon’s beginnings since the last one. also the prior one. The international release of the collection is a given, although an exact release date has not been announced. We anticipate that it will be sometime in the first week of October.

You may note that certain cards look somewhat fuzzier than others; this is because, in Japan, Pokémon tends to release a lot of cards via its official YouTube videos, notably sneaking them in at the end of TCG matches the hosts play among themselves. Some of the others have been revealed officially on Pokémon Japanese or Chinese sites. Let’s check out some of the most beautiful examples then.
