On June 5 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, Adam Lambert gave a classic dance-pop song a nursery-rhyme makeover.
Onstage, Lambert gave Cher’s megahit “Believe” an interesting twist during the chorus.
Lambert altered the song’s famous chorus by asking-
“Do you know the Muffin Man?” instead of the usual “Do you believe in life after love?” The Muffin Man who lives on Drury Lane?” to the amusement and applause of the stunned onlookers.
“Sometimes you just have to give the people what they want. The Muffin Man, live from Royal Albert Hall @josephsinclair,” Lambert captioned the video.
“Omg obsessed” The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon commented from its official Instagram page.
In honor of Lambert’s now-iconic April performance on That’s My Jam, a whole new take on “Believe” has been created. As part of his “Wheel of Musical Impressions” game, in which players impersonate great singers by performing a cover of a classic song, Lambert had to perform “The Muffin Man” in the style of…Cher.
Lambert did an incredible impression of Cher by singing the tune of “Believe” to the words of “The Muffin Man” in a deep, throaty voice that sounded just like Cher’s.
Host Jimmy Fallon said in awe:
“How do you do that? How do you make that good?”
Lambert’s most recent work included a performance of “Chandelier” by Sia on America’s Got Talent: All-Stars finale in February, where he accompanied the season’s victor, aerialist Aidan Bryant.

During the performance, Lambert was reunited with Simon Cowell, who served as a Judge during his time on American Idol and helped start his career.
“That was amazing!” Cowell said after Lambert finished singing “Chandelier.” Adam, I have to say this. We’ve known each other a long time-
“I’m having major déjà vu…” Lambert responded, giving a nod to his origins.
Then, “but this time I’m going to be nice,” Cowell said. For the simple reason that Adam, you are genuinely one of the nicest performers I’ve ever met. The accomplishments you’ve made make me very happy.
