We’re getting close to the Rebel Moon’s official release date. Zack Snyder is scheduled to direct Rebel Moon, due out at year’s end 2023. The much-loved filmmaker will put his chops to the test in a space opera set to premiere on Netflix later this year. The following is everything we know about when Rebel Moon will be available.
Rebel Moon Release Date
Netflix has scheduled the December 22, 2023, release date for Rebel Moon. Rebel Moon, written by Snyder, Shay Hatten, and Kurt Johnstad, is one of 2023’s most anticipated films. Snyder’s extended dedication to the DC Universe superheroes in what has been dubbed the “Snyderverse” is evidence of his many science fiction films as a director.
But Space Moon will be his first foray into the genre of space opera. The 57-year-old filmmaker’s collaboration with Netflix began with the zombie film Army of the Dead (2021), which featured a massive robbery.
Rebel Moon is a story about a peaceful colony coping with an oppressive regent, and it was inspired by both Star Wars and the work of Japanese director Akira Kurosawa. Even now, there is nothing known about the film, and not even a trailer has been released.
Netflix, however, is so confident in the film’s potential that they are simultaneously filming a sequel. The project never got off the ground when Snyder first pitched it to Lucasfilm. Instead, it evolved into its present form thanks to Eric Newman’s involvement as a producer.
Rebels Moon Cast
The cast of Rebel Moon is full of famous actors. Even though there is a huge list of established names in Rebel Moon, we still don’t know much about them. We do know that Ed Skrein will play the film’s main antagonist, the dictator Balisarius, and that Sofia Boutella will play the film’s protagonist, Kora.

Rebel Moon Plot
According to Netflix’s official synopsis, Rebel Moon will follow a group of teenage warriors as they fight against colonization and face off against some oppressive extraterrestrial invaders.
From the official Rebel Moon synopsis: A peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy is besieged by the soldiers of a tyrant regent named Belisarius. To find warriors from neighboring planets to assist them oppose the regent, the desperate civilians send a young woman with a mysterious past.

Is there a trailer for Rebel Moon?
The Rebel Moon trailer has not yet been released. A trailer won’t be released until a few months before the film’s official release date. However, once filming begins later this year, Netflix is likely to release some photographs from the set as well as teases and first peeks.
