After discovering human remains more than two months after the disappearance of Minnesota mother Madeline Kingsbury, police have detained her ex-boyfriend and the father of her children on suspicion of mυrder.
Authorities say Adam Fravel, 29, was arrested on second-degree mυrder allegations on Wednesday night (June 7), weeks after he denied any involvement in her disappearance.
Kingsbury’s aunt, Rebecca Jacobson, told Fox News Digital in a statement that the “family believes the right person is in custody and holding out hope that we’re going to find Madeline.”
Approximately 45 miles south of the location where Kingsbury was last seen alive, police discovered human remains in a thicket along Highway 43 north of Mabel, Minnesota.
According to the Winona Police Department, the body was located by using information gleaned from the investigation. The department said in a statement –
“Because of this, law enforcement personnel have arrested Adam Fravel on probable cause in connection to her disappearance.”
The Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office is attempting to determine if the remains belong to Kingsbury. Kingsbury, age 26, disappeared on March 31 after leaving off her two children, ages 5 and 2, at their daycare in Winona with her boyfriend, Fravel.
The police termed her disappearance “involuntary and suspicious.” Fravel told police that he left their home at 10 a.m., and when he returned, Kingsbury was not there, but her phone, wallet, and outerwear were. According to authorities, he was the last individual to observe her alive.
Do you know that Shannen Doherty has revealed that the fatal breἀst cἀncer she has been getting treatment for several years has spread to her brain? In an emotional Instagram post, Doherty shared a video of herself enduring radiation therapy:
Since the search began, over 2,000 people have volunteered to help locate the missing mother. In addition, authorities stated that they have executed “numerous search warrants” as part of this operation. Phil Prokopowicz, the former senior deputy attorney in Dakota County, was brought out of retirement to assist with the case last month.
After their mother disappeared, the Kingsburys and Fravel got into a heated custody struggle over the children. KARE11 reported that the two children are currently living with Kingsbury’s parents, despite ostensibly being in the custody of Winona County.
Megan, the sibling of the missing mother, previously told that Fravel and his family remained silent despite attempts to communicate with them. At the time of her disappearance, Kingsbury and Fravel were no longer together.
According to her sister, they were still living together although she was looking for a new place to reside without him. The city has a population of about 25,000 people and is located approximately 120 miles to the southeast of Minneapolis.
