For their efforts in trying to locate his father Julian Sands, rescue volunteers have received “deepest gratitude” from Henry Sands.
The 65-year-old Hollywood celebrity went missing on January 13 while climbing the Mount Baldy trek in the mountains of California. Since the actor vanished, search and rescue teams have been hunting for him, but they have not come across anything.
Unfavorable weather has also had a significant impact on their efforts.
Henry said of the search:
“There is nothing really further to say at this point other than to reinforce my deepest gratitude for the love and support my family and I have received.
The 37-year-old claimed that, in light of a 40-year snowfall record in California, he is being “realistic” about the effects of the terrible weather.
He told The Times:
“I am hugely appreciative for all the efforts made so far from the volunteer search and rescue climbers and the San Bernardino county sheriff team to bring my father home.
“I look forward to the search resuming as soon as the weather improves and the ground conditions are safe and feasible to do so.”
Julian was last seen five weeks before the search’s restart. Drones have been used in the hunt by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office in an effort to locate the missing actor.

Crews found an automobile they believe to be Julian’s during the initial search for the actor. His phone’s final ping, according to phone data, occurred two days after he vanished, indicating that it likely died soon after.
Kevin Ryan, an actor and Julian’s hiking companion stated that he thought “something has gone wrong” following the actor’s absence.
He told:
“For me, each day that does go by puts more pressure and I guess brings a lot of doubt in.
“But Julian is such an advanced hiker. It’s what he did. His whole life he was climbing mountains. It was a true passion of his.
“He is beyond experienced and I’m hoping that he’s tucked away somewhere and can pull through.”
He is quite skilled and I’m hoping that he is hidden and will be able to survive. The film A Room With A View, in which Julian Sands co-starred with Helena Bonham Carter, Sir Daniel Day-Lewis, Dame Judi Dench, and Dame Maggie Smith, is his most well-known work.
