According to officials, one of the vἰctims of the sh∅∅ting was flown to a hospital in Denver. When ἰnjured patients were being treated at Holy Cross Medical Center and The University of New Mexico Hospital, police officers were called to “secure” the locations.
For the 41st Red River Memorial Day Motorcycle Rally, an annual event with live music, as many as 28,000 bikers were anticipated to travel to Red River this weekend. Bikers “from all different backgrounds line Main Street for one crazy party.”
An emergency curfew was imposed by local authorities in Taos starting at 10 p.m. on Saturday. During the emergency declaration published on the town’s Facebook page, all alc∅hol sales were to be stopped.
“NMSP request the public to avoid Red River as we conduct our investigation,” State Police added.

In a statement posted on Sunday morning on Twitter, police revised an earlier announcement that two persons had dἰed and increased the deἀth toll to three. New Mexico State Police said, “The scene is secure, no ongoing threat to public safety.”
