Which Are the Luffy Gear 5 Characters of All Time?
Norway Martin
Many One Piece readers will be aware of Monkey D. Luffy’s sudden increase in terms of raw strength and jump in the aspect of his Gomu Gomu No Mi Devil Fruit, now known as the Hito Hito No Mi, now that the Wano arc in the Manga has concluded and the Egghead Island arc has begun.
The coverage that Venturejolt has provided in relation to the One Piece Manga is discussed here, make sure you don’t miss out!
Along with Luffy’s growth in learning how to incorporate Conqueror’s Haki into ordinary assaults amid the struggle with Kaido, the actual characteristics of the fruit were recently disclosed in the novel, and it now stands as Luffy’s Gear 5th.
Now that the One Piece tale is winding down, it’s logical to assume that Luffy, the main protagonist, can compete with, if not beat, even the series’ fiercest foes.
Kizaru, Most formidable creature in the One Piece
Luffy’s long and difficult battle with Kaido, from which he emerged victorious, was more than sufficient justification for him to join the ranks of the new Yonko. After Greenbull fled Wano in chapter 1055 after learning of the Red Hair Pirates’ presence thanks to Shanks’ Conqueror’s Haki, many readers began to think that Yonkos were far more powerful than Admirals.
If Kaido, the most formidable creature in the One Piece universe, is any indication, Admirals like Kizaru would have difficulty defeating Luffy after he destroyed Kaido. The series is nearing its conclusion, and it wouldn’t make much sense for Luffy to be thwarted in his quest to become pirate king by characters like Kizaru. That’s not to imply Kizaru is weak, but maybe the magnitude of the power differential is becoming evident.
Trafalgar D. Water Law
Given their close friendship and cooperation with the Straw Hats from the Punk Hazard arc until the end of Wano, it’s unlikely that Law and Luffy will ever engage in a duel, but if they did, Law would have a hard time beating Luffy, let alone doing any significant harm to him.
The Ope Ope No Mi is one of the most potent and versatile Devil Fruits in all of One Piece due to its battle effectiveness and the possibility of bestowing immortality on one another. Many would imagine Luffy would easily overcome Law in the fight, what with his Gear 5 awakening, allowing him to use the environment to his full advantage and its level of freedom.
The fact that Luffy was the only one of the two to beat Doflamingo at Dressrosa lends credence to the idea that he has always been stronger than Law. They’ve both gone a long way since then, but Luffy’s development stands out even among the Worst Generation.
Mihawk- sword and slashing strikes
Many might believe that things would be different this time around as Luffy’s previous confrontation with Mihawk in Marineford, before the time gap, ended with Luffy having to evade Mihawk’s strikes. It would be a mistake to believe that Luffy couldn’t give Mihawk a fight, even though sword and slashing strikes are still his vulnerability (as shown by Kaido in chapter 1047).
Many fans are skeptical that Luffy might defeat Mihawk because of his reputation as a formidable fighter. Some even compare him to Shanks. With his improved Armament Haki and Gear 5’s ability to deflect strikes, however, Luffy may be one of the only characters in One Piece capable of posing a severe threat to Mihawk at this stage in the story.
Marshall D. Teach – Blackbeard
Blackbeard is one of, if not the strongest, characters in the One Piece universe, given his status as the presumed series antagonist and Luffy’s final enemy. This is because he possesses multiple Devil Fruit talents, including one that can counteract the effects of other Devil Fruits.
Fans have yet to witness the full potential of the Hito Hito No Mi Model Nika, but with the Fruit’s powers and the rise of Haki, Luffy is one of the few characters who stand a chance against Blackbeard.
It would be difficult to predict the outcome of such a conflict because of the Yami Yami No Mi, and seeing it unfold would be fascinating. The Yami Yami No Mi may be rendered useless because Luffy is now proficient in using Haki, thanks to the incorporation of Conqueror’s Haki into his strikes.
