A man has been arrested concerning the deἀth of a lady who was reported mἰssing from her house in West Texas. She was found deἀd on Saturday, according to authorities. The mἰssing person was identified as Madeline Pantoja, 20, on May 11. When police were called to investigate her disappearance, her car, phone, and keys were still at her Midland home.
Ms. Pantoja’s body was found on Saturday in a rural location outside the municipal boundaries following an investigation by the Midland Police Department and other law enforcement authorities. Police detained Mario Juan Chacon Jr., 24, on charges of kἰlling Ms. Pantoja hours after her remains were found. He is being detained at the Midland County Jaἰl after being charged with first-degree murdeɼ.
The autopsy reports remain pending. Although the police did not fully explain Ms. Pantoja’s deἀth, it is considered a homἰcide.
Ms. Pantoja was last seen at 11 p.m. on May 10 after an evening out with her friend pals in Midland. She was reported mἰssing the following day after her family and friends could not contact her, which prompted police to go to her residence.
Her friends told the cops that they thought her recent ex-boyfriend might be responsible for her disappearance. On the night of her disappearance, Ms. Pantoja’s neighbors reported to police that they overheard a man and a woman arguing inside her home. Police have not confirmed whether Mr. Chacon Jr. was Ms. Pantoja’s ex-boyfriend. Following the young woman’s disappearance, many law enforcement agencies and drones were used in the search.
Ms. Pantoja’s loved ones were allegedly dissatisfied with the search speed, prompting roughly 100 people to protest outside Midland Police headquarters on Thursday. They demanded “justice” over the “lack of investigation…”
The mayor of Midland, Lori Blong stated on Friday that the law enforcement agencies looking for Ms. Pantoja were “tirelessly searching and gathering information and evidence” on her location.
