Ashley Johnson Star “Critical Role” Takes Legal Action Against Ex-boyfriend for Domestic Vi∅lence

Ashley Johnson, star of Critical Role, has requested a court order for protection against her ex-boyfriend Brian W. Foster due to what she claims are several instances of domestic abμse and “acts of terroɼ” against her and her family.  We have looked into several legal records, including a May 19th request for a temporary restraining order.

Johnson claims in the request that on May 15, 2023, “the police issued an [Emergency Protective Order] due to [Foster] having attempted to extort $150,000 from me (television/film actress), his history of verbal abμse, his very unhinged mind from his addictive use of naɼcotics, and several other reasons.”

Johnson claimed that on May 15th, when Foster was ejected from her house, she discovered a “garotte and several airsoft gμns” in a suitcase that she believes he had been carrying ever since the two had broken up earlier this year.

Other incidences mentioned in the restraining order request include Foster allegedly blocking Johnson’s access to the Internet on all of her devices and altering the Ring camera passwords following what Johnson described as a “huge fἰght” earlier this year. The application claims a history of alleged domestic vi∅lence, characterizing Johnson’s actions as including “broken glasses, slamming doors and broke gates and calling…”

Johnson, a renowned actress who has been in The Avengers and The Last of Us, and Foster collaborated on Critical Role for several years, with Johnson participating on weekly programs and Foster hosting a weekly Q&A session. Foster also appeared in several Critical Role spinoffs, although she left the series in August 2021 to “pursue other projects.”

At the time, the breakup was said to be amicable, but Foster made it clear in several comments that he had not chosen to quit Critical Role. Although Foster’s hostility towards some Critical Role fandom members has drawn criticism. Foster appears to have gone on to other endeavors, such as a Twitch channel and an interview podcast.
