What Happened in Succession Season 4 Episode 8?
Season 4 Episode 8 focuses on the close presidential election between Republican Jeryd Mencken and Democrat Daniel Jiménez. The outcome of the race depended on the outcome in Wisconsin, but there was a problem. A fire broke out at a polling place in the state, destroying paper ballots.
In the end, though, Kendall sides with Roman and Mencken after learning the truth about Shiv’s deceit. Kendall has chosen to follow his cash rather than his emotions at the moment, but he will certainly come to regret this choice in the future.
Connor Roy ran for president as the libertarian candidate. He realized he didn’t stand a chance of winning, but he hoped at least to receive one percent of the popular vote. Roman wanted Connor to get out of the contest because he was eating into Mencken’s support among voters.
Connor initially declined, but on election night he changed his mind. Connor hopes to land a government job in Slovenia as the prize for dropping out on Roman and Mencken. During his acceptance speech however, Connor plans to say some harsh things that could incite his support base to vἰolence.
Shiv’s possible pregnancy with Tom’s child is one of the most talked-about plot points of Season 4 of Succession. In episode 8 Shiv confirms to Tom that she is pregnant. This big fact emerged during one of their furious disagreements and she did it to harm Tom.
This is one of the most tragἰc parts of the program because it reveals how far the once-happy marriage has gone since the first season of Succession. While there were other key events in the eighth episode of Season 4 of Succession, this one stands out.
