When did Garth Brooks Divorce His Wife?
Rumors of divorce between Brooks and his current wife Trisha Yearwood have surfaced, however both parties have denied these claims. But the truth is that Garth Brooks and his ex-wife Sandy Mahl have been separated since 2000.
They still keep in touch and are friendly despite the divorce. Garth and Trisha are still together. The couple made their first public appearance together in 2002, a year after being divorced at the 33rd Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards Induction in New York City.
Three years later at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, California, the Grammy winner proposed to the “Georgia Rain” singer. They exchanged vows in December 2005. Taylor Brooks, August Brooks and Allie Brooks are three of Garth’s daughters from his previous marriage to Trisha.

After their wedding, the Food Network star moved into Garth’s former bachelor house in Nashville. Garth openly discussed how his relationship with Trisha evolved while they were quarantined at their Music City home during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Garth Brooks said:
“Since you can’t go right now, we chose to utilize quarantine as a period of reflection. You can’t just walk away, so this is likely both a blessing and a curse. This is likely the most difficult time we’ve ever had as a relationship. But when you’re with the right person, what’s on the other side is so dang worth the wait.”
