Melania Trump expressed her support for her husband’s re-election campaign and expressed her eagerness to work with him in “restoring hope for the future and leading America with love and strength” during a second term in office.
Mrs. Trump says if she has “the privilege” of being first lady once more in 2024, she will continue to give top priority to programs that promote children’s health and development so that they have the “support and resources they need to reach their full potential.”
The former first lady told:
“My husband achieved tremendous success in his first administration, and he can lead us toward greatness and prosperity once again.”
In November, Trump declared his intention to run for president again in 2024. He is presently leading the Republican field for the party’s presidential election.
“He has my support, and we look forward to restoring hope for the future and leading America with love and strength,” she declared.
The former first lady made her remarks after hosting a luncheon at Mar-a-Lago on May 6 to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the founding of her “Be Best” campaign while she was in the White House, which was centered on the safety of American children, the abuse of opioids and the internet.
Mrs. Trump‘s “Fostering the Future“ Initiative
Since leaving Washington, D.C., Mrs. Trump has expanded the program and established “Fostering the Future,” a “Be Best” initiative aimed at awarding computer science scholarships to kids aging out of the foster care system and providing them with the academic foundation needed to secure technology-based jobs so they can become self-sufficient and contributing members of society.
Mrs. Trump stated to Fox News Digital that “since leaving Washington, D.C., my commitment to the foster community has grown stronger,” citing her work in procuring scholarships for kids in the foster care system with the aid of her staff, business partners, and the general public.
At the moment, there are more than 400,000 kids in the foster care system, and only 3% of former foster kids go on to complete their college degrees. In fact, many become homeless and end up on the streets, she claimed.
“My goal is to close the gap and give more people who leave the foster care system access to higher education.”
Since the inception of “Fostering the Future,” Trump has given two members of the foster care community scholarships to attend college and study technology.
She told:
“I have faith that an education-based foundation will provide these individuals with the skills needed to secure employment and achieve financial stability.”
However, the former first lady hopes to have the opportunity to give the foster care system and American children more attention.
Like the First Lady in 2024, Trump said if her husband wins she will “prioritize the well-being and development of children as I have always done.”
“My aim would be to make sure that every child has the resources and support they need to realize their full potential,” she continued.
A representative for Mrs. Trump told that the luncheon at Mar-a-Lago, which took place during National Foster Care Month, gave her the chance to get to know those who are involved in the foster care system and discover what additional resources and assistance they require to succeed.

Mrs. Trump’s mission is to bring awareness and attention to the foster care system and help ensure that no child is overlooked, defined by their circumstance or restricted to their current reality outside of the month of May.
Trump worked with lawmakers, particularly the late Rep. Jackie Walorski, on legislation that secured funding for grants awarded to youth and young adults currently or formerly in foster care to help pay for college, career school, or training during her tenure as first lady.
Trump also hosted virtual roundtables on foster care and strengthening the child welfare system. In the end, President Trump signed the legislation in December 2020.
