Did Harry Go to the Coronation

Prince Harry attended King Charles III’s coronation on Saturday, April 6, 2023. This is his first public appearance with his family since the publication of his explosive memoir “Spare.”

He didn’t bring his wife Meghan, Duchess of Suss*x or their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to his father King Charles II’s coronation. Additionally, he played no official part in the ceremony and did not join other family members on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

Prince Andrew was also absent. Prince Harry, his uncles Prince Edward and Prince Andrew and two of his cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were among the first royals to enter Westminster Abbey earlier on May 6.

Harry’s brother, Prince William had a significant part in the ceremony. William kἰssed his father and swore allegἰance to him once his father was crowned king. Prince George, the 9-year-old son of William was also a Page of Honor for King Charles and three of Camilla’s Pages of Honor were her grandsons.

Although his father’s invitation to the coronation appeared to be an attempt at reconciliation, it seems that Harry’s connections with his family members are still tense.

Harry did not sit with other senior royals, he sat in the third row of the service. He sat behind his aunt Princess Anne and the Duke of Kent, the cousin of Queen Elizabeth II and close to Princess Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank throughout the ceremony, according to BBC News.

After the ceremony, Harry did not make his customary appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, which is reserved for senior members of the royal family. Instead, the newly crowned King Charles III and Queen Camilla stood among the working family members and their grandchildren, many of whom had duties to play throughout the event.
