Actress Amber Heard apparently left Los Angeles and relocated to Madrid, Spain.
“I can reveal that Heard has quit Hollywood and quietly relocated to Spain with her young daughter Oonagh,” wrote Alison Boshoff of the Daily Mail on Thursday 4 May.
A friend of Heard’s reportedly told the writer, “She’s bilingual in Spanish and is happy there, raising her daughter away from all the noise.”
The friend added that the 37-year-old actress is considering a comeback to Hollywood.
The acquaintance said:
“I don’t think she is in any hurry to return to work or to Hollywood, but she will probably come back when the time is right, for the right project.”
Heard sold her home in Yucca Valley, California, for $1.1 million in July 2022. She has been to Spain quite a bit since then. The star of the “Aquaman Sequel” was spotted on the beaches of Palma de Mallorca in a bikini in October.
She had been in Spain for a few days when she was sighted at a playground with her 2-year-old daughter, Oonagh. The single mother has kept her daughter out of the spotlight since she was born via surrogate in July 2021. Nearly a year after her defamation battle with ex-husband Johnny Depp, Heard is rumored to have relocated to Spain.
Depp filed a $50 million lawsuit against Heard in 2019, alleging that she lied about his alleged abuse in order to increase her share of the divorce settlement. His ex-wife filed a $100 million countersuit against him a year later.
After Heard’s 2018 op-ed piece defaming the “Cry Baby” star was published, the trial ended in June 2022 with the court ordering Heard to pay Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $350,000 in punitive penalties.
Later, Heard petitioned the judge to throw out the jury’s decision and ask for a new trial, arguing that the first one was based on insufficient evidence.
