Detroit police have a suspect in custody, after a much-loved neurosurgeon’s deἀth, whose body was found in his house on Sunday, April 23, 2023. The individual was taken into custody on unrelated charges Friday, April 28 morning, according to Police Chief James White.
There was no mention of his name or the aIIegations. Following the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office’s confirmation that Dr. Devon Hoover was sh0t multiple times in the head. It was determined that he was muɼdered.
White indicated that the man was someone Hoover knew, but declined to comment further. The chief told reporters at a news briefing:
“That person is there for an unrelated charge but we are confident that this person has information about what transpired.”
After Hoover failed to show up for a function, a family member called the police to request a welfare check. Sources said, the sh00ting was not a random act and a reason is still being looked into. He urged anyone with knowledge to get in touch with the Detroit police.
Hoover’s family said in a statement earlier this week:
“We grieve his untimely deἀth and will miss him greatly. We are so grateful for the many words of kindness and stories from people who were touched by his life. He was a gift from God and used his talents to bless many.”
