American novelist Suzanne Collins wrote the action-adventure book “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes”. It is both a precursor and a spin-off of The Hunger Games series. Scholastic published it on May 19, 2020. The novel was also made available as an audiobook, which Santino Fontana, an American actor.
But soon Lionsgate will release a movie adaption of “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes”.

The film, which is based on the Suzanne Collins book, is the first new installment in the “Hunger Games” series. This week Lionsgate finally unveiled the first trailer for The Hunger Games prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds And Snakes and there’s a lot there to unpack.
Many references to the original film series could be seen in the first trailer for one of 2023’s most eagerly anticipated book adaptations, including the appearance of a character that made it hilariously clear that Stanley Tucci’s Caesar Flickerman was a nepo baby all along.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes trailer gave viewers a look at the impressive cast which featured Jason Schwartzman in the character of Lucretius “Lucky” Flickerman who presided over the Hunger Games decades before his uncle Caesar did.

Reports said The film is scheduled to premiere on November 17, 2023. It will be released exclusively in movie theaters. In the film, Coriolanus Snow was already the oppressive President of Panem decades before Katniss Everdeen volunteered to serve as a tribute.
The young Coriolanus, the only hope for his dyἰng lineage, the once-proud Snow family that has fallen from grace in a post-war Capitol is the focus of Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds And Snakes. Due to the threἀt to his job, Snow is reluctantly given the responsibility of mentoring Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler), a tribute from the underdeveloped District 12.
But after Lucy Gray’s charisma mesmerized the Panem audience, Snow recognized a chance to change their destinies. With everything he has worked for in jeopardy, Snow teams up with Lucy Gray to improve their chances.
Snow embarks on a race against time to survive and discloses whether he will ultimately turn into a songbird or a serpent while fending off his inclinations for both good and evil.
