Steph Curry has excelled in several games. Golden State defeated the Sacramento Kings 120-100 in Game 7 to win the best-of-seven NBA playoff series 4-3. Curry recorded a playoff career-high 50 points.
He broke Kevin Durant’s 2021 NBA Game 7 record of 48 points for the Brooklyn Nets against the Milwaukee Bucks. It was said that Curry became the first Warriors player to score 40+ points in a Game 7.
Curry’s 20-of-38 shooting and 7-18 three-point shooting showed his famous accuracy. His social media peers lauded his performance.
“Steph Curry filthy animal lol… “He just packed up a very good team… in a very tough building,” said Portland Trail Blazers point guard and seven-time All-Star Damian Lillard.
“Legendary 30. 50 pieces,” commented 13-time All-Star Durant, while Trae Young dubbed it “unreal.” Curry’s longtime teammate Klay Thompson told reporters, “There is a reason he is a two-time MVP, a Finals MVP because he pushes us over the top in moments like this.”
He said, “When he’s in the zone like that, you try to just get him in his spots, get him the ball and get out of the way. Game 7 will always be the Steph Curry game.”
Thompson and Jordan Poole struggled at halftime as the Warriors trailed the Kings by two points. Curry had 20 points, but his second-half surge helped Golden State win.
According to ESPN, the Warriors outscored Sacramento by 22 in the second half, including a huge third quarter. Curry’s total performance—his shooting, finishing diversity, and dynamism—excited fans and impressed his teammates.
