Ordinary Angels Trailer

In Ordinary Angels, Hilary Swank is on a quest to save a financially troubled widower.

Swank plays Sharon, a “fierce but struggling hairdresser in small-town Kentucky who discovers a renewed sense of purpose when she meets Ed (Alan Ritchson), a widower working hard to make ends meet for his two daughters,” in the Lionsgate drama and We have the exclusive first trailer.

Sharon “sets her mind to helping the family and will move mountains to do so” because “his youngest daughter is waiting for a liver transplant,” the synopsis says. What happens next is an uplifting story of faith, miracles, and ordinary angels.

Check out the trailer for Ordinary Angels below:

Sharon is shown first attending an AA meeting, before cutting to her reading about 5-year-old Michelle’s trἀgedy in the newspaper.  The girls’ grandmother (Nancy Travis) invites Sharon in for dinner after she surprises Ed with a delivery (an envelope containing $1,000).

“Mom, what are you doing? I met this woman. She’s a mess,” Ed tells her.

“Perfect! She’ll fit right in,” his mom replies.

Sharon continues to be an integral part of the family’s fundraising efforts and fights to have the family’s medical debts “erased” for the duration of the trailer, all the while growing close to Ed and his children. He yelled, “We are going to save this girl, you hear me?” Michelle needs to take an emergency flight to save her life, but she may not be able to afford it, Sharon explains over the phone.
